It’s World Theatre Day!
It’s so important to recognise all the wonderful people who work in theatre and celebrate everyone from the creative team, backstage and cast. I’ve been very lucky to come from a theatre background where I was brought up watching musicals and continued my hobby of performing. It wasn’t until I worked with TodayTix at The Stage Debut Awards that I realised I could explore my passion for theatre through interviewing. Even though I’ve taken this turn in my career path studying journalism, theatre will always have a place in my life!
What’s your favourite thing about theatre..? #WorldTheatreDay

The theater is a wonderful world as well as the people who participate in it, last year I went to England to see Tom Parker in Grease and it was a wonderful experience! I hope to see you someday in a play Jess!

I grew up with watching up seeing musicals. There is nothing like the power of live theatre- especially musical theatre. The combination of acting, singing, and dancing is incredible. The songs made it easier to connect to the songs and the plot. I am a musical theatre fanatic.

Wonderful blog already Jess, I adore the atmosphere of live theatre so much and think you have a brilliant knack for journalism already so carry on with your new path. Les Miserables is my favourite stage show and having the chance to see it live for the 25th Anniversary tour at the Mayflower in Southampton will be a moment in my life that I won’t ever forget. That was the day I stopped just liking theatre but adoring it.

I’m so late to the party! (Sorry) but I think the best part about theater, whether you’re acting in it or just watching, you forget about the real world for a moment and just enjoy yourself.
